Baby Feeding

Feeding your baby can be both an enjoyable and frustrating activity. Most babies are very fussy and won’t just eat whatever you give them! For the first few months, your major feeding activity would be breast feeding or bottle feeding your child. This can become messy very quickly as babies don’t have complete muscle control over their mouths and as a result, there is always a lot of spillage and leaking.

This continues as your child becomes older and is ready to eat solid food. These solid foods include blended vegetables and fruits. When they are blended, they actually have greater staining power which definitely does not spell good things for your table cloth or walls. Children are naturally messy eaters, and you may think they even enjoy torturing you by covering the table with food.

This can quickly become tiring as more messes and spills mean that you need to wash and launder your clothes, your baby’s clothes and whatever else got dirtied in the feeding process. However, this doesn’t always have to be the case as there are numerous tools you can use to help feed your child that can greatly reduce or eliminate the number of spills.

One of these tools is of course, the bib. This simple apparatus is a piece of cloth that is attached around your child’s neck so that all the spilled food falls on it and not on their clothes. This reduces your washing load and the need to change your baby.

Another great tool for feeding your child is a booster and high chairs. These apparatus can help lift your child to the table level and it even has detachable trays. So, if your child makes a mess on the tray, it is much easier to simply detach and clean it off than to end up cleaning the entire table.
