Baby bottles and accessories are another important purchase that has to be made. Unfortunately, babies can’t drink out of cups or glasses just yet as they are too young to have developed facial control.

However, with the invention of baby bottles, mothers don’t have to worry about exposing themselves in public when her baby is hungry at an inconvenient time.

The structure of the baby bottle is basically a large plastic glass that has a soft rubbery teat with a small incision at the tip. Using a bottle evokes the same response and emotion of a baby breastfeeding from his or her mother.

This is a great way to slowly wean your child off from breastfeeding or simply to complement it. Some women prefer to use breast pumps to extract the milk and then fill it in bottles for their baby. This is particularly useful if the mother has to travel with her child and ensures that the child does not suffer nutritionally.

When choosing baby bottles, you should know that there are many different types. There are different bottle nipples that are made from latex or silicone products. Also, there are nipples which offer different flow rates. It is recommended that newborns use latex as this is more flexible and is more widely preferred. You should also start infants with nipples that have a slow rate of flow and as they get older, you can purchases ones that offer faster flow rates.

Also, bottles come in many different shapes and sizes with accessories. You should purchase a bottle that is best suited to you or your baby. If your child is going to hold the bottle, make sure to buy one with an easy to grip handle.
